Filmmaker D A Pennebaker directed the film MONTEREY POP, the documentary, which later afforded worldwide audiences the privilege of bearing witness to the three historical days at the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival, while also inventing the concert film. In an unpredictable setting, Pennebaker captured the indelible performances of what became legendary performances of many of the rising stars in rock and roll history - Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Otis Redding, The Who and more.
Now, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the festival, D A Pennebaker created fine art printed stills from the film which we now include in the Morrison Hotel Gallery archives. All limited edition prints are signed by D A Pennebaker.
