JAM BANDS, Opening October 17th in NYC

Bespectacled like a psychedelic Doctor T.J. Eckleburg, the late-great Jerry Garcia is revered as something of an omniscient overseer, keeping a watchful eye over the wide and wavering trajectory of counterculture from his place in the greater cosmos. In this great spirit, Morrison Hotel Gallery is pleased to announce 'JamBands', a group exhibition retracing the time-honored tradition from genre greats like Grateful Dead, the Allman Brothers, Phish and The Band through contemporaries like Gov't Mule, Widespread Panic and Grace Potter among other noteworthy torchbearers building upon the contributions of their delightfully improvisational forbearers. Opening on Thursday, October 17th in SoHo, 'JamBands' will feature the photographs of Jay Blakesberg, Danny Clinch, C. Taylor Crothers, Sam Erickson, Herb Greene, Lynn Goldsmith, Brantley Gutierrez, Patrick Harbron, Rene Huemer, Elliott Landy, Gilbert Lee, Catherine McGann, Patricia O'Driscoll, Ken Regan, Amalie R. Rothschild, Norman Seeff, Allan Tannenbaum, Peter Tarnoff, Dave Vann and Baron Wolman with select works on view in Los Angeles and Maui.
