MHG RADIO | Celebrating The Depth & Breadth of Singer-Songwriter Jimmy Webb

This week's episode of MHG Radio pays homage to Jimmy Webb, the platinum-selling singer-songwriter whose byline reads like a veritable who's-who of music industry greatness. To date, Webb is the only artist to have received Grammy Awards for music, lyrics and orchestration. In continued celebration of last year's release of the compelling artist's latest solo album, SlipCover, we pay tribute with a broadcast that is about "music, inspiration and survival", says host Peter Blachley. Reflecting on careers and repertoires that would not be complete without Webb-penned classics like "Wichita Lineman" (Glen Campbell), "MacArthur Park" (Waylon Jennings/Donna Summer), "All I Know" (Art Garfunkel), "Do What You Gotta Do" (Nina Simone), "The Moon is A Harsh Mistress" (Joe Cocker/Judy Collins) and perhaps most notably "The Highwayman" (Waylon Jennings/Willie Nelson/Johnny Cash/Kris Kristofferson), Blachley is joined by MHG co-founder and celebrated photographer Henry Diltz, art director Gary Burden, Jimmy Webb himself and of course, no shortage of extraordinary soundtracking this Sunday, May 24 on KVMR 89.5 FM at 7PM PDT.
