Morrison Hotel Gallery is thrilled to present our collection of high-quality Max Roach photos! Jazz drummer and composer Max Roach was known for his bebop style drumming but also created beats in many other styles. He was inducted into two hall of fames: DownBeat in 1980 and Modern Drummer in 1992. Roach also composed a few songs in regards to the Civil Rights Movements. At 18 years old, Roach filled in for Sonny Greer in the Duke Ellington Orchestra during their performance at the Paramount Theater. He would go on to play with artists like Dizzy Gillespie and Thelonious Monk and collaborated on many of Charlie Parker's most important records. Our collection of Max Roach pictures is available as fine art prints online and through our galleries.
