Behind the Photographs of Blue Note Records

Blue Note Records was co-founded by Francis Wolff , a record company executive, photographer and record producer. Wolff's skills, as an executive and a photographer, were integral to the success of the Blue Note record label. Together with designs by Reid Miles, they created some of the more recognizable album covers the world over.

Prolific jazz producer Michael Cuscuna oversees the Blue Note Record archive. Here he shares with us some fascinating stories about the album cover photographs of some of the most seminal jazz recordings of all time.
