Tom Petty, Photographs of A Beloved Artist

Tom Petty, a staple of rock radio through decades with his band the Heartbreakers and his collaborations with rock legends, died in 2017, way too soon, at age 66. He never lost his edge, his original songwriting and delivery. His voice ran through our lives since the 70s and spoke for the outcasts, the free thinkers, the rockers who related to his original take on life - in song and video. A musician's musician, he paired with so many incredible artists to deliver unforgettable songs. In our Tom Petty gallery, we bring you our favorite photos that show how he brought his love of music to his radio channels, introducing his influences and championing music we may have long forgotten.
You are missed, Tom Petty. Rest in Peace.
