Rock Hall Names Class of 2021 Nominees
Earlier this week (February 10, 2021), the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame made its official announcement of those sixteen acts nominated for considerable inclusion to its Class of 2021--and the list was more impressive than we could have hoped for.
Among the more or less level playing field helmed by such adversaries as Mary J. Blige, Kate Bush, Devo, Foo Fighters, The Go-Go's, Iron Maiden, JAY-Z, Chaka Khan, Carole King, Fela Kuti, LL Cool J, New York Dolls, Rage Against the Machine, Todd Rundgren, Tina Turner and Dionne Warwick, this year's competition is shaping up to be the most historically diverse in the institution's thirty-six year tenure. Notably, if elected, King and Turner will become the second and third female artists to be inducted twice, following the 2019 election of Stevie Nicks; if Foo Fighters are inducted, Dave Grohl will also earn twice-inductee recognition.
No matter which acts are to claim permanent Rock Hall stake come May 2021, the time-honored ranks of each ring invariably true and in the best of company at Morrison Hotel Gallery where evergreen artistry is always on the lineup.
