With over 400,000 people attending this historic event in the history of Rock 'n' Roll, the photos that were captured are a vast collection of artists, the audience, and the people behind the scenes that made it all come together, including producer Michael Lang and official photographer Henry Diltz. This 3-day festival of peace and music - held for free just outside of the town of Woodstock on Max Yasgur's 600-acre farm in Bethel, New York - brought people of many generations together, seen here in our archives of hundreds of photos of the time that was Woodstock '69. Our collection includes Jimi Hendrix, Ravi Shankar, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, and many more.
