Sex Pistols

Morrison Hotel Gallery is thrilled to present this Sex Pistols photos gallery! Formed in London in 1975, the Sex Pistols drove the punk movement in the UK and influenced many punk and alternative rock bands to follow. Members including Johnny Rotten and Sid Vicious, caused many controversial public scenes from an on-air interview gone wrong involving Siouxsie Sioux and host Bill Grundy, to Sid's tragic overdose following the murder of his girlfriend Nancy. The band resisted mainstream popularity many times, one occasion being their induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006, refusing to attend the ceremony and calling the museum a "piss stain." Nevertheless, fans were thrilled when the band reunited in 2007 in the UK before their final performances in the following year.
