Jazz Music Photography

Originating in New Orleans from Blues and Ragtime roots, Jazz music has evolved into a wide variety of definitions since the 1920s Jazz Age. It has been the pedestal on which legendary artists including John Coltrane, Charles Mingus, Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie, Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra have inspired generations into the future. Through this genre's strong African-American roots, other cultures have adapted its origin to perform their own musical creativity through improvisation and a blending of different genres such as Gypsy Jazz, Bebop, Cool Jazz, and Jazz-Rock fusion.
