Waylon Jennings, the godfather of Outlaw Country

Waylon Jennings.(1937-2002) the godfather of Outlaw Country had his beginnings with Buddy Holly, passing up a seat on the ill fated flight that took the life of Holly, The Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens. Jennings helped to found Outlaw Country with Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and others. In the 1980's he joined the super group "The Highway Men" with such greats as Willie, Kris Kristoffersen and Johnny Cash. Waylon is a member the Country Music Hall of Fame. Waylon Jennings passed away in 2002 at 64 due to complications with diabetes, he will always be thought of as an original of Outlaw Country music.
