    Marcelle Murdock was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. She graduated in Photography, then moved to New York to pursue Fine Arts at the School of Visual Arts with a main focus on painting. Marcelle has been working in art galleries ever since and is now able to merge her passion for arts and music at the Morrison Hotel Gallery.

    With a MA in Contemporary Art from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in New York, Matthew has been working in galleries as a consultant, selling art, and advising clients on their collections. Working with artists and photographers, Matthew is immersed in the art world, curating exhibitions while enhancing his personal collection. On days off, he can be found visiting galleries, museums, and roaming around photographing street art. The merging of music, art and photography fulfill his passions and he exudes an excitement for the life of art.

    Originally from Los Angeles, Julia found her roots in the music that emerged from Laurel Canyon in the 1960s and 70s. After meeting Henry Diltz at a young age and visiting his studio full of photographs from that period, she became enamored with the Morrison Hotel Gallery and the unique intersection it draws between fine art, music, and pop culture. Julia has a BA in Art History from New York University, and has devoted much of her studies to understanding and appreciating photography as a medium. As Director of Operations in SoHo, Julia manages our on-site inventory, coordinates incoming orders on the East Coast, and works alongside our associates in the New York gallery. She is endlessly passionate about the work represented by the gallery and is always happy to answer questions or share stories with fellow music lovers.

    Uniting his convergent passions for the arts, writing and anthropology, Daniel Walters has taken to task the title of Content Director at Morrison Hotel Gallery while completing his BA in Museum & Curatorial Studies at The New School. Shortly after moving to New York City from Alabama, Daniel accepted an Editor-in-Chief position at a national lifestyle publication which would ultimately lead him to Morrison Hotel Gallery on assignment. Unbeknownst to him, a rave review of Lynn Goldsmith's 2015 solo exhibition, Streets of NYC, would not only prologue his own ever-growing fascination with music photography but also a MHG narrative penned by Daniel. Trading in his spectatorial vantage point for a more hands-on position, Daniel Walters now devotes much of his time to the curation and narration of our gallery's social media presence, sharing some of the most important moments in music history from behind his desk at Morrison Hotel Gallery in SoHo.

    Casey has a Fine Arts degree in printmaking and graphic design and eight years of experience in art dealing with collectors from all around the world. She is most passionate about partnering with a collector to help them acquire important photographs with interesting histories but even more important, photographs that resonates with them emotionally. Casey oversees the curation of the gallery, exhibitions and our MHG mobile app. She is always available to help answer any questions you may have about our gallery and photographers.

    Born and raised in New Jersey, Jamie studied photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, then went on to receive a BA from SFSU in San Francisco. Upon moving to Los Angeles, she worked as a production assistant to a high level director on major motion pictures. Her passion for all genres of art and music led her to working in galleries, selling and assisting in curating shows. At the gallery, Jamie is committed to finding the perfect photograph for a client's collection.

    Ario is responsible for overseeing all operations of the gallery. Spend a few minutes with Ario in the gallery and you’ll soon realize just how passionate he is about the images that surround him. “Music and memories are incredibly strong,” he often says, “and what we exhibit here brings those memories right back to present day.” Ario has worked for Hard Rock International as a Sales and Marketing Manager with a focus on Retail, Special Events, and Live Music. His professional education includes Harvard Management Training, with a concentration on Strategic Thinking, Leadership, and Brand Identity. Ario’s strong community ties involve serving on the Board of Directors of the Lahaina Arts Association, an appointment by the Mayor to the Global Marketing Committee of Maui, as well as involvement with the Chamber of Commerce, and several philanthropic partners.

    Robert’s energy in the gallery is contagious! He truly enjoys all genres of art and music, and if you start talking to him about live concerts, you will quickly be taken on a musical journey. He has an amazing talent of helping clients make the transition from admiring and collecting music memorabilia, to acquiring music-inspired art. He also has a keen sense of assisting our clients with the right selection of options to find the perfect image. Robert moved to Maui from Houston nine years ago, and has been working for Mick Fleetwood longer than anyone else here. It is that experience that has helped grow and shape our store and gallery. When not focused on art, Robert is out collecting vintage music equipment and records.

    After studying Fine Art at the University of Maryland, Sharon was successful as an entrepreneur, owning several small businesses. Prior to working at our gallery she was an art consultant at the prestigious Lahaina Galleries. Sharon feels that working at Morrison Hotel Gallery is like living each day in the comfort of home, with family photos on the wall – her music family! She inspires guests with the stories behind the photographs, listens and learns from their stories, all while providing the opportunity for them to live daily with prints that have meaning in their lives.

    A native New Yorker, Barbara’s adventurous spirit brought her to Maui where she established roots and raised a family. She retired early this year from a stressful career and returned to Maui where she co-owns a tattoo shop with her artist/ husband. Her life-long love of music ultimately drew her to the Morrison Hotel Gallery Maui and right back into the work force. She describes coming to work as a “fun immersion therapy, an opportunity to make up for lost time.” A passionate drummer, downsizing forced her to part with three prized drum sets and a collection of 15 cymbals. Barbara feels that being at the Maui Gallery eases the pain of that loss. She is inspired by the talent that graces the walls, as well as by her team, and is excited to help others find art that moves them.

    Linda enjoyed a successful career in publishing where she worked in various positions at the Naval Institute in Annapolis, Maryland and the Smithsonian Institution Press in Washington, DC. One of her jobs at the Naval Institute was as a photo editor where she assisted in finding photographs to use in magazine articles and books. She also managed a photo library of over 100,000 naval and maritime photographs. She later worked for the federal government from which she retired in 2017. Upon retirement, Linda grabbed the opportunity to move to Maui with her husband. Seeking part-time work, she feels very fortunate to have been hired as the Administrative Assistant at Morrison Hotel Gallery Maui. One of the things she enjoys most at the gallery is seeing and hearing their excitement as guests come into Fleetwood’s General Store and realize that they are in a very special and unique gallery on Maui. She enjoys reading, going to the beach, and listening to live, local music at some of Maui’s fun bars and restaurants.

    With a MA in International Communication and Development, Susan started with retail sales at the gallery and now oversees all public relations activities worldwide, assisting in corporate and institutional sales. She's been with the gallery ten years coordinating exhibition openings at the galleries and offsite special events. She manages online content, overseeing the growing archive of over 15,000 images, news and blogs. She is the person behind the Concierge Service, and she'll be glad to help you with special inquiries. Susan is also the founder of Rational Animal, a non-profit organization producing media to help at-risk animals in New York City and works with Morrison Hotel Gallery to create fundraisers to help the animals.

    Paige is a musician and songwriter that draws inspiration from her love of all art forms. In 2010, she met Henry Diltz while studying at Berklee College of music, in Boston MA. Henry was doing a slideshow on "The History of Laurel Canyon", they bonded over their mutual admiration of the era's music and from that point forward, they became great friends. After graduating and a North American-cross country tour with her band, Paige moved to Los Angeles. The move West has provided opportunities for recording and working as the Social Media Director for Henry Diltz Photography. You can find Paige at our Hollywood Gallery, as well as playing around town.

    Suzie has worked with Morrison Hotel Gallery for eight years as an administrator in our West Coast business office and warehouse. Growing up in the Motor City gave her a great appreciation for music. She moved to San Diego as a young adult and had a period of interesting international travels competing and promoting the sport of grass skiing. During this time she gained a passion for shooting photography. Suzie loves the marriage of both music and photography that defines Morrison Hotel Gallery. Suzie handles order fulfillment, and liaisons with our gallery associates, photographers and clients to keep operations running smoothly, as well as general office related responsibilities.
