    Marcelle Murdock was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. She graduated in Photography, then moved to New York to pursue Fine Arts at the School of Visual Arts with a main focus on painting. Marcelle has been working in art galleries ever since and is now able to merge her passion for arts and music at the Morrison Hotel Gallery.

    With a MA in Contemporary Art from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in New York, Matthew has been working in galleries as a consultant, selling art, and advising clients on their collections. Working with artists and photographers, Matthew is immersed in the art world, curating exhibitions while enhancing his personal collection. On days off, he can be found visiting galleries, museums, and roaming around photographing street art. The merging of music, art and photography fulfill his passions and he exudes an excitement for the life of art.

    Originally from Los Angeles, Julia grew up with a passion for the music that came out of Laurel Canyon during the 1960s and 70s. After meeting Henry Diltz at a young age and visiting his studio full of photographs from that period, she became enamored with the Morrison Hotel Gallery and the unique intersection it provides between fine art, music, and culture. While completing her BA in Art History at New York University, Julia was working for the gallery part-time behind the scenes, and is now thrilled to be a member of the SoHo team.

    Casey has a BFA degree in printmaking and graphic design with seven years experience in art dealing with clients from all around the world. She enjoys helping her clients find the perfect photograph to add to their collection and helping new clients discover their favorite musician or actor as an art form, to start a new collection. Casey oversees the curation of the gallery and exhibitions. She is always available to help answer any questions you may have about our gallery and photographers.

    Born and raised in New Jersey, Jamie studied photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, then went on to receive a BA from SFSU in San Francisco. Upon moving to Los Angeles, she worked as a production assistant to a high level director on major motion pictures. Her passion for all genres of art and music led her to working in galleries, selling and assisting in curating shows. At the gallery, Jamie is committed to finding the perfect photograph for a clients collection.

  • Ario Pardee

    General Manager, Maui Gallery

    Ario is responsible for overseeing all operations of the gallery. Spend a few minutes with Ario in the gallery and you’ll soon realize just how passionate he is about the images that surround him. “Music and memories are incredibly strong”, he often says, “and what we exhibit here brings those memories right back to present day.” Ario has worked for Hard Rock International as a Sales and Marketing Manager with a focus on Retail, Special Events, and Live Music. His professional education includes Harvard Management Training, with a concentration on Strategic Thinking, Leadership, and Brand Identity. Ario’s strong community ties involve serving on the Board of Directors of the Lahaina Arts Association, an appointment by the Mayor to the Global Marketing Committee of Maui, as well as involvement with the Chamber of Commerce, and several philanthropic partners.

    To say Chris is a huge music lover would be an understatement! No matter what the genre or time period, Chris has the distinctive ability to always complement a conversation with our clients through his music knowledge. Born on Maui, Chris grew up in a household where multiple generations have been involved in the arts. After attending the University of New Mexico where he earned a B.A. in Media Arts, Chris went on to work for Hurley International in retail design and sales management. Chris has worked for Mick Fleetwood in multiple facets, finally finding a home in our gallery. Not only skilled in art sales and building client relationships, Chris is responsible for framing all of our in-house gallery images with an incredible attention to detail.

    Robert’s energy in the gallery is contagious! He truly enjoys all genres of art and music, and if you start talking to him about live concerts, you will quickly be taken on a musical journey. He has an amazing talent of helping clients make the transition from admiring and collecting music memorabilia, to acquiring music-inspired art. He also has a keen sense of assisting our clients with the right selection of options to find the perfect image. Robert moved to Maui from Houston nine years ago, and has been working for Mick Fleetwood longer than anyone else here. It is that experience that has helped grow and shape our store and gallery. When not focused on art, Robert is out collecting vintage music equipment and records.

    After studying Fine Art at the University of Maryland, Sharon was successful as an entrepreneur, owning several small businesses. Prior to working at our gallery she was an art consultant at the prestigious Lahaina Galleries. Sharon feels that working at Morrison Hotel Gallery is like living each day in the comfort of home, with family photos on the wall – her music family! She inspires guests with the stories behind the photographs, listens and learns from their stories, all while providing the opportunity for them to live daily with prints that have meaning in their lives.

    Shawn is a music aficionado who loves working for “the coolest Rock Star you could ever want to meet”, Mick Fleetwood. Shawn is passionate about sharing his love of music with our guests and assisting them in the acquisition of the perfect image that conveys their own special sense of musical expression. Shawn’s broad experiences in sales, and his personal experiences with music culture, are what make him a strong asset to our gallery. When Shawn isn’t in the gallery he can be found riding with his knees in the breeze on his Harley Davidson Motorbike, or taking in a live show of one of the islands many amazing local artists.

    With a MA in International Communication and Development, Susan started with retail sales at the gallery and now oversees all public relations activities worldwide, assisting in corporate and institutional sales. She's been with the gallery nine years coordinating exhibition openings at the galleries and offsite special events. She manages online content, overseeing the growing archive of over 15,000 images, news and blogs. She is the person behind the Personalized Collections, so request yours and she'll make one just for you. Susan is also the founder of Rational Animal, a non-profit organization producing media to help at-risk animals in New York City and works with Morrison Hotel Gallery to create fundraisers to help the animals.

  • Kyla Hamlin

    Website Marketing Assistant

    Kyla is from Grass Valley, Ca. She developed a passion for music and art in high school. She became enamored with Jimi Hendrix at 14 and soon began singing Janis Joplin and Heart songs at karaoke and open mics before performing her own music while opening for local bands in town. Kyla realized music was her calling and she started her path to earning a BFA in Music at Chico State. While studying at Sierra College, she began an internship with the Morrison Hotel Gallery. She loves learning music history, especially during the Woodstock and Monterey Pop eras. Kyla is excited to be part of the team and looks forward to sharing her passion with fellow music and art enthusiasts.

    Paige is a musician and songwriter that draws inspiration from her love of all art forms. In 2010, she met Henry Diltz while studying at Berklee College of music, in Boston MA. Henry was doing a slideshow on "The History of Laurel Canyon", they bonded over their mutual admiration of the era's music and from that point forward, they became great friends. After graduating and a North American-cross country tour with her band, Paige moved to Los Angeles. The move West has provided opportunities for recording and working as the Social Media Director for Henry Diltz Photography. You can find Paige at our Hollywood Gallery, as well as playing around town.

    Suzie has worked with Morrison Hotel Gallery for eight years as an administrator in our West Coast business office and warehouse. Growing up in the Motor City gave her a great appreciation for music. She moved to San Diego as a young adult and had a period of interesting international travels competing and promoting the sport of grass skiing. During this time she gained a passion for shooting photography. Suzie loves the marriage of both music and photography that defines Morrison Hotel Gallery. Suzie handles order fulfillment, and liaisons with our gallery associates, photographers and clients to keep operations running smoothly, as well as general office related responsibilities.
