A Birmingham Based group comprised of Clive Lea, Geoffrey Turton, Chuck Botfield, Roy Austin and Terry Bond, The Rockin Berries, had three early chart successes with, “I Didn’t Mean To Hurt you, Poor Man’s Son and He’s In Town.” They were multi-talented, doing impersonations and sketches in their cabaret act and appearing in traditional Christmas pantomimes.
