"This image of the Steve Miller Band was taken during a shoot for the band's first album cover, Children of the Future. I always liked this shot because it seems to refer to the hierarchy of the band. Steve is prominent and looking out. Boz Scaggs on the left is partly out of the frame, a metaphor for him going on his own a few months later. Jim Peterman, keyboards, and Lonnie Turner, bass, are partly hidden, symbolic of the changes in band members during the 1970s." -- Elaine Mayes
