Ansel Adams, 1979
April 26, 1979, San Jose, California. Ansel was working on his current book at the time, The Range of Light, the proofs are reflected in his glasses. He was very meticulously marking up the proofs for the printers to redo before running the press. Ansel was pretty much a perfectionist when it came to printing, he was also a pussycat when it came to his friends. Ansel was an American photographer and environmentalist. His black-and-white landscape photographs of the American West, especially Yosemite National Park, have been widely reproduced on calendars, posters, books, and the internet.
